Carly met Maddie on the very first day of grad school orientation at the University of the Arts. They quickly became inseparable; basically a packaged deal. Best friends for the rest of their lives and the matching tattoos to prove it!

Alex and Doug met in English class freshman year of high school, and bonded over shared nerdiness. Whether facing down a school deadline or a monster in a video game, they always have each other's backs. They followed each other into debate and tech clubs, magic the gathering and Warhammer 40k tournaments, and eventually the Philly area!

Doug Albright-Pierce

Even though she's not Carly's biological sister, the title of sister-in-law is close enough! When Zach introduced Carly to Courtney, she told her brother that 'you better not mess this up because I like her too much'.

Alex and Bradley met in high school, and ended up going to college at the same school, playing video and board games late into the night together. There is always friendly critique and discussion of everything about the media they share, which both use to improve their own craft in game development and writing!

When Alex introduced Carly to his best friend Doug, she also got to meet his amazing wife Maggie. Maggie and Carly became fast friends and enjoy crafting together. Maggie has been a huge part in Alex and Carly's love story and even helped Carly plan her proposal to Alex!

While they may not have grown up together, Alex and Brandon bonded instantly over cooking good food and their nerdy pastimes. These two are always getting up to some form of cheeky mischief, so watch your back, there may be a 'ye olde kicke me' sign on it!
